Cigna did for me. They gave a full reimbursement for my wife and a partial for me. I just used the forms they had on their website and the doctor's receipts.

Hello - I just recd. the TRANSFER NOTICE for me & my wife's 485 case stating that the case has been transferred to USCIS-NBC, PO Box 648005, Lee's Summit, MO 64064. We had filed for AOS in July 2007 and my priority date for is April 2006 (EB-2).
I would appreciate it if somebody can please shed some light on what this means for us. What are the implications for us.? Will the case be transferred to the local office.? Should i start to gather documents for a interview.
Would appreciate any advice i can get. Thank you!

Hi iyera,
As per my immig. atty it takes between 2-3 months for the h1 to h4 processing. Unfortunately there is no premium processing for h4 unless you piggy back it with an h1 processing. Hope this helps.

Lisap - The GC approval will depend on your Priority Date. The more recent your PD, the longer it can take for GC. In any case, I think it's a safe option to get your H-1 extended unless you want to take the risk to wait for your EAD.

I heard that once we start using EAD (immigrant intent), we could never go back to using H-1B (quasi non-immigrant). Many lawyers suggest not using EAD as yet because if I-485 is ever rejected for any reason, we could still be on H-1B and go on for few more years and leave the country comfortably. Without H-1B in those circumstances, we would be out of any status and we have to leave the country immediately.
Your friend might have applied for EAD, but primarily he must be staying on H-1B only. His wife could be using the EAD very much.

if your employer ( who filled I 140 ) revoke I 140 then chances are there that you may get RFE while H1b transfer. You need good lawer advise. Also there is gray area for porting PD if I 140 is approved and revoked.
My current employer (who's the consulting company) is the one negotiating to let me go fulltime with the client. So, they shouldn't revoke the 140.

Starting EB2 process will be the same as EB3 process. Your company should have a position open that requires atleast Masters degree or Bachelor + 5 years experience. They'll have to go through recruitment process and document that no US citizen or PR was available to fill the position and then file PERM.
Your EB3 applicaiton will not be affected by this new application.
The whole process upto I-140 may cost $10k-15k
Last point, is not correct, it doesn't cost 10-15k for your company, may probably around 5-6k.

What is amazing for example, is China! China-mainland can expect between 5-10 year wait times for a green card while China-Taiwan, China-Hong Kong and China-Macau can expect their green cards in less than one year, just like Egypt, and everyone else!

All Eb3 will get close to 40k this year . There will not be any spill over from Eb1 or Eb2. Also Eb3 ROW is not current so chances are very minimal that Eb3 india and China will get any exxtra visa. Only CIR or Recapture is hope for Eb3. OR as I said in earliar post that if Labor dept makes too hard to file for Eb2 in coming years then after 2-3 years you may see spill over to Eb3. otherwise it will crawl. I Applied H1b 8th Year Extension on Jan 9th. Still waiting Anybody has this kind of situation? my Case number Starts with WAC
I Applied my H1b extn on Jan 9th , and i went to India on 18th Jan and came back on 18th Feb using my AP is this could be cause for the delay.
Please share your experiences and ideas
